What is the Water Temperature?

The water temperature in the Red Sea varies throughout the year:

  • Winter (December – February): Around 21-24°C
  • Spring (March – May): Around 24-26°C
  • Summer (June – August): Around 27-30°C
  • Autumn (September – November): Around 26-28°C

How is the Underwater Visibility in the Red Sea?

The Red Sea is known for its exceptional underwater visibility, making it one of the best snorkeling and diving destinations in the world.

    • Average visibility: Typically 20 to 30 meters , sometimes even more on calm days.
    • Best conditions: Clear skies and low wind usually result in the best visibility.
    • Year-round clarity: Thanks to the Red Sea’s warm waters and minimal sediment, visibility remains excellent throughout the year.

This means you can enjoy breathtaking views of vibrant coral reefs, colorful fish, and even larger marine life in crystal-clear waters!

What About Sharks?

Many people are curious about sharks, but there’s no need to worry! Encounters with sharks while snorkeling in the Red Sea are extremely rare. The shark species found here are generally shy and avoid human interaction.

If you are lucky enough to see one, it will likely be a harmless species like a reef shark, which poses no threat to snorkelers. These beautiful creatures are an essential part of the marine ecosystem and are fascinating to observe from a distance.

Our experienced guides always prioritize safety and ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable snorkeling experience. 😊
